AI checks can be wrong, and so can we. This is how we fix mistakes, openly.
How to tell us
Every report has a Report an error button: choose the statement and what is wrong (the verdict, a source, missing context). It is anonymous. You can also write to contact@headlinecheck.com.
What we do
- We read every report.
- Within 7 days we look at the reports and decide whether the check was wrong (a misread source, a wrong verdict, or facts that changed).
- If it was, we run the check again. The old report then points to the new one, and the article shows the new result.
- Every check of an article stays visible in the report’s history: we do not delete checks to hide mistakes.
- Reports about health, elections and emergencies come first.
Publishers
Publishers can ask us to correct something or to remove their publication; we do it within 48 hours. See the Terms of Use.
